The roast level of a coffee determines its aroma, body, and flavor. That’s why at ROTAMA COFFEE, we roast fresh daily and tailor each roast profile to the unique characteristics of every origin. This allows each coffee to fully express its potential and ensures it reaches your cup with optimal flavor and aroma.

This particular coffee has a light roast, meaning less body but more character—typically resulting in higher acidity. It’s the ideal profile for filter methods like pour-over or V60.

The medium roast level is the one we use for most ROTAMA COFFEE varieties. It’s specially developed for superautomatic machines but also works well with moka pots and manual espresso machines. This roast brings out a more traditional, aromatic, and exotic profile, offering both balance and complexity with a wide spectrum of tasting notes.

Tasting notes refer to the natural flavor nuances present in the coffee. Coffees with higher cupping scores tend to display a greater range of notes and higher complexity.

If you prefer more traditional flavor profiles, we recommend choosing varieties with tasting notes in the cocoa or nut family. On the other hand, if you enjoy coffees with more personality and a vibrant character, go for those with floral or fruity notes—they offer a more expressive and adventurous cup.
